Sustainability & Responsibility

At BTIG Productions LLC, sustainability is an integral part of how we design, produce, and deliver live events around the world. As a global event production company, we recognize both our responsibility and our opportunity to reduce environmental impact, support responsible sourcing, and contribute positively to the communities and environments in which we operate.

We believe that live events have the power to inspire, connect people, and create lasting experiences. Protecting the environment that makes those experiences possible is essential to preserving our industry for future generations. Our sustainability approach is guided by continuous improvement, collaboration with partners, and alignment with recognized global best practices.

Our Commitment

BTIG is committed to reducing our environmental footprint while continuing to deliver world-class production solutions. We integrate sustainability into our planning, procurement, operations, and partnerships to drive responsible growth and long-term value.

We focus on minimizing environmental impacts, promoting responsible resource use, and supporting innovation that helps our industry move toward more sustainable practices.

Climate Action and Greenhouse Gas Emissions

BTIG recognizes that climate change is a critical global challenge. Rising greenhouse gas emissions, extreme weather events, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation require urgent and collective action.

We are committed to working with partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to measure, manage, and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. Our long-term objective includes setting reduction targets aligned with science-based principles, with a focus on reducing emissions across our operations and supply chain.

Energy Efficiency

We prioritize energy-efficient technologies and solutions across our inventory, facilities, and event operations. A significant portion of our equipment utilizes energy-saving technologies such as LED lighting and inverter-based systems to reduce power consumption.

We actively seek partners and suppliers who support innovation and energy efficiency, helping us lower energy use while maintaining performance and production quality.

Resource Efficiency and Waste Reduction

BTIG follows a waste hierarchy approach that prioritizes:

Waste reduction

Reuse

Recycling

Energy recovery

Responsible disposal

Our goal is to significantly reduce waste sent to landfill and increase material recovery rates across our offices, warehouses, and live events. We work to design processes and workflows that minimize waste generation and improve recycling and recovery wherever local infrastructure allows.

Plastics Reduction

BTIG is committed to reducing and eliminating single-use plastics in our operations and events wherever possible. Our objective is to transition toward reusable, renewable, certified compostable, or recycled-content alternatives.

This includes items such as cups, bottles, cutlery, plates, packaging, and other disposable materials used in event environments. We collaborate with partners to identify and implement practical alternatives and to align our supply chain with these goals.

Water Stewardship

We support responsible water use across our operations and event environments. This includes promoting access to quality drinking water, reducing water waste, and identifying opportunities to improve water efficiency.

Where appropriate, we explore solutions that support water reuse and conservation, especially in locations facing water stress or high consumption risks.

Food and Catering Practices

BTIG recognizes the environmental impact of food sourcing and waste. We work with suppliers to support responsible sourcing practices and prioritize quality, safety, and animal welfare standards.

We aim to reduce food waste at events and encourage composting and responsible disposal where facilities are available.

Sustainable Procurement and Partnerships

BTIG works closely with suppliers, partners, and sponsors to promote shared sustainability goals. We consider the full life cycle of products and materials we purchase and prioritize responsible sourcing.

We actively support the development of more sustainable products and services within our industry and encourage innovation that reduces environmental impact.

Sustainable Forestry and Responsible Wood Sourcing

BTIG is committed to responsible and sustainable sourcing of wood and wood-based products used in our events and productions.

We prioritize purchasing wood and wood products from responsibly managed and certified forests. We support third-party certification systems such as:

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI)

Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)

BTIG seeks to avoid sourcing wood from high-risk deforestation regions unless it meets strict responsible sourcing and certification standards. We require suppliers to maintain transparency regarding wood sourcing and to adhere to responsible forestry principles.

This policy supports the protection of global forests, biodiversity, and long-term forest health.

Transportation and Logistics

Live event production requires transportation of people, equipment, and materials. BTIG works with suppliers and local authorities to encourage more sustainable transportation options where feasible, including shared transport, public transit, and efficient logistics planning.

We seek to measure and manage transportation impacts and promote solutions that reduce emissions associated with travel and freight.

Local and Community Impacts

BTIG is committed to operating responsibly within local communities. We consider environmental, cultural, and historical factors when designing and producing events.

Our approach includes:

Respecting ecologically sensitive areas

Minimizing noise and light pollution

Supporting local employment and suppliers where possible

Contributing to local communities and charitable initiatives

Prioritizing health, safety, and well-being of employees, crews, and attendees

Engagement and Awareness

We believe in using our platform to engage clients, partners, and audiences in sustainability conversations. BTIG promotes transparency and collaboration, sharing best practices and supporting initiatives that raise awareness of environmental and social responsibility within the live events industry.

Governance and Continuous Improvement

BTIG’s sustainability efforts are supported through centralized policy direction and local implementation across regions. We regularly review and evolve our sustainability practices to reflect new data, technologies, regulations, and industry standards.

Our goal is to continuously improve our performance, strengthen accountability, and integrate sustainability into decision-making across all areas of our business.
